Education is a process which contributes in building socio-economic infrastructure of the nation; as such educational system plays a prominent role in shaping the future of the nation. Primarily, higher education is responsible for supplying a well developed human resource; therefore, the university system carries the responsibility of grooming and sharpening the young minds of the nation. For this, the university set up must be of high standard where every student of the university can grow and develop holistically and become competent enough to contribute his/her best for the overall growth of the society. We, at Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa, feel proud to act as contributors of this social transformation. The University aims not only at imparting knowledge and skills to its students, but also, creating a positive, value based attitude in them. The University also seeks to empower each student with the flair and fervor to learn sincerely and apply the expertise creatively for the betterment of mankind. I can proudly state that we are fully equipped and motivated to handle this challenge. For this, the University provides excellent facilities and infrastructure, in addition to highly qualified faculty.

While the University has come a long way since its inception, it has to keep pace with the changing needs and expectations of the society. It has to successfully perform the multiple roles of creating new knowledge, acquiring new capabilities and producing an intelligent human resource pool for the promotion of economic growth, cultural development, social cohesion, equity and justice. Let us work collectively and systematically to promote growth of this institution and make it the first choice of students. The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali says, “When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project; all your thoughts break their bounds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world”.
